Noelle's STEM Corner: Fractals
Happy December! With the possibility of snow in the air, I thought this to be a perfect moment to learn about fractals. Below is a video introducing fractals with a drawing activity.
Thank you for watching! I know your Koch Snowflake and Sierpinski Triangle look amazing. Here is a link to a padlet for you all to share pictures from any and all of the projects you decided to participate in. Also, this is a wonderful video from BBC about the use of fractals in the world. Below I have included a list of extra activities. As you go down the list the challenges become a bit harder. However, do not let that stop you. I know you can do it!
- Activity 1 - In this interactive snowflake block-based coding adventure with Elsa and Anna!
- Activity 2 - This is an awesome scratch tutorial on creating a fractal tree. Please watch this intro video before you start the project.
- Activity 3 - Here we learn about recursion and creating our own fractals!
