Live & Local
- February 28 - Girls' Geek Day is all about sparking elementary girls' interest in STEM. The event is free and open to Kindergarten through 5th graders, but registration is required.
- March 28 - madiSTEM: Making a Difference in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics is a one-day STEM conference at James Madison University designed for girls in grades 6-8.
- March 29 - Capital Region Celebration of Women in Computing (CAPWIC) is an ACM Capital Region Celebration of Women in Computing and provides a low-cost, regionally tailored, small conference for women and minorities in computing. The participants include women (students, faculty, and professionals), as well as all supporters of women in computing. The conference will be hosted by The George Washington University and all levels of experience are welcome.
- April 18 - Girls Excelling in Math (GEM) Tournament is a free event open to teams of girls in grades 4-6 or 6-8 from schools in the Charlottesville-Albmelarle area.
- Blue Ridge Boost - enrichment and tutoring in math and computer science.
- C4K - combines mentoring and technology to prepare youth for brighter futures. Participation is free and open to all students in grades 6th-12th who are eligible for free or reduced lunches at school.
- KidsCollege@PVCC After-School Academies offers online programming Monday/Wednesday and Tuesday/Thursday and in-person Saturday mornings for students in grades 3rd-12th.
- Starr Hill Pathways - a program designed to offer Charlottesville area youth, career and college exploration and support them as rising 7th graders through high school.
- STEAM Discovery Academy - ind lots of STEAM-related after-school and summer programming for students in grades K-8th.
- Albemarle SWENext - Albemarle High School's Society of Women Engineers is a community of women who are passionate about engineering and STEM as a whole, and spreading the idea that engineering is for everyone.
- BACON (Best All-around Club of Nerds) - the internationally acclaimed science club at Charlottesville High School. Students work in self-directed teams in areas such as environmental impact, aerospace engineering, robotics, and more.
Virtual & Global
- March 18 (deadline) - Technovation Challenge is a global program where girls and mentors can connect with Technovation Girls locally through Chapters and Clubs. The app building competition includes 3 team divisions, Beginner (8-12), Junior (13-15) and Senior (16-18).
- Black Girls Code - partners with schools and organizations to offer a range of programs, both in-person and virtual, for ages 7-25
- Connected Girls - a free, curated directory of girl-serving STEAM opportunities.
- Girls Who Code - find clubs, summer immersion and code at home activities.
- Random Hacks of Kindness Jr. - find one-day hackathons where children in grades 4th–8th are matched with computer science mentors to work together to solve a charity's real-world need.
- Technovation Girls - a global program where girls and mentors can connect with Technovation Girls locally through Chapters and Clubs.
