Emerging-Engineers@UVA
We are excited to share the details of Emerging-Engineers@UVA which is kicking off this summer. This program builds on the success of Bio-Med Tech-Girls and Emerging-Engineers@UVA and is designed to train future engineers to develop cutting-edge solutions to global challenges.
Led by the UVA School of Engineering and Applied Science, this unique collaboration between Charlottesville Women in Tech, Tech-Girls, and the School of Education and Human Development will provide a variety of immersive engineering experiences.
This summer, the program will offer two tracks to explore: Biomedical Engineering and Materials Science and Engineering, with more tracks planned in future years. Programming will include hands-on activities, lab tours, guest speakers, student panels, and opportunities for community building—all designed to inspire high school students with the many possibilities for studying and working in engineering.
